LISA MEINESZ
intuitive sculpting
My practice explores posthuman ecologies through digital sculpture and animation. Inspired by synthetic biology and material ecology, the work imagines self-sufficient organisms that inhabit a future Earth beyond humanity; speculative lifeforms I refer to as the “fifth skin.”
While many of my digital sculptures are 3D printed in SLM aluminum, I also work on a made-to-order basis, crafting bespoke sculptures, furniture, and accessories.
As a 3D artist and designer, I've contributed to films such as George Miller's 3000 Years of Longing, creating animated future user interface graphics for 65, and designing creatures for the Australian indie film In Vitro.
