Emergent Ecology

E1027 began as a sterile petri dish in a coral restoration project—but evolved into a self-organizing, living ecosystem. Born from a SCOBY-based biofilm, it defied its original purpose, growing glasslike architecture. Delicate lifeforms known as E1s emerged, drifting not in water, but in a breathable, microdroplet atmosphere. What began as a microbial mat became a city—a thermoregulating, self-sustaining microcosm. Unplanned. Uncontrollable. Alive.

Pipe geo made by Keya Roy, flying secondary vehicle made by Eirik Johnsbråten.
